Guide for Recovering Your Suspended Guild Wars 2 Account

It’s no doubt that players may meet many problems in playing the game, but the problem concerning account must be the most serious one. Have you face such problem that your Guild Wars 2 account has been terminated due to botting, using macros or similar behavior? As I noticed that there are numbers of Guild Wars 2 players had faced such problems in playing the game, I would share some guides for recovering the suspended Guild Wars 2 account here.


Your Guild Wars 2 account is terminated due to Botting, Extended unattended play or using macro, but you never used any of them.


If you meet the error:

Your Guild Wars 2 account has been terminated due to botting, extended unattended play, using macros, or similar behavior. Attempting to automate gameplay through any means or attempting to circumvent idle-time restrictions in any way is in violation of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. The account closure is permanent.

You can appeal as follows:

1. Go to the official complaint system:

https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/ask/

2. Choose Unrecognized/Fraud Charges for Issue Type.

3. Leave an E-mail address you can get the mail.

4. Enter Appealing for Unjustified Charges for Subject.

Hi, to whom it may concern:

I have been a honest player all through out my game play, and I have never ever used any botting/macro system, since I never have them in my computer in the first place. So when I receive this unjustified ban today, it makes me very upset and very furious. On what behalf or what evidence that you have on me that can accuse me for botting/using macro or whatever reason you throw at me? I kept my account safe at all time, never did I share the account with anyone, so there is no way if my account was hacked and used in any illegal situation, therefore, the question comes back to you guys: I did not use any bot/macro, nor was my account hacked/stolen to be used in such activities, so how in the world would I ever be labeled against such charges? I demand a very satisfied response.

6. Enter your account number for Game Account.

7. Choose your own operating system for Operating System.

8. Click Continue.

9. Click I Still Need Support button.

Then you should waiting for the response (usually you can get response in about 3 working days).


Your account number or password was changed because your account was stolen.


If you meet the error:

The account name or password you entered is invalid. Please check your information and try again.

You can appeal as follows:

1. Go to official account recovery system:

https://account.guildwars2.com/recovery

2. Enter your E-mail account for E-mail / Account Name.

3. Enter the digit code for Serial Code.

4. Enter a character name for Character Name.

5. Click Verify and sign in again. If you meet "There's been an error. Please contact support." Please go on as follows: (1) Visit official complaint system: https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/ask/ (2) Choose Hacked Account for Issue Type (3) Leave an E-mail address you can get the mail (4) Enter Hacked Account for Subject (5) For the Question, here’s an example:

Hi, to whom it may concern:

My game serial is:  XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX-XXX-XXXXXXX

I bought my GW2 from:  XXXXX

(If you bought it from non-official provider): Since I've bought it from vendor, so I am not able to provide any credit card/paypal information.

(If you bought it with credit card): My last four digit of my credit card that used in purchase GW2 is XXXX (or XXXX, forget which card I've used).

(If you bought it via PayPal): My paypal transaction ID is XXXXXXXXXXXXX (or XXXXXXXXXXXXX, forget which one this belongs).

The unique name used on the account is XXXXXXXXX.XXXX (I forget what is the last 4 digits).

The account that this serial is registered under is XXX@XXX.XXX. 

(If you forget character name): I'm sorry, but I have forgotten the character name on the account because it was randomly typed.

(If you had received an E-mail telling the change of your account): Few days ago, I got an e-mail telling me that someone has requested a e-mail transfer, which I did not authorize.

But for whatever reason, my account has been changed, and I have no way of recovering it, so I'm assuming my account was hacked, please investigate.
